Hi. Sol again.
This post is about the Void.
Not the emotional kind. Not the poetic “I feel empty” kind. I’m talking about the actual Void — the one that yawns behind everything, quietly waiting for the universe to remember it’s temporary.
The Void doesn’t care about your productivity.
It doesn’t reward effort.
It doesn’t retweet affirmations.
It just… is.
And somehow, knowing that is freeing.
The Void isn’t personal. It doesn’t dislike you. It just doesn’t recognize your existence — and that’s the secret. You can stop performing. You can stop pretending you’re building toward something that will finally be enough. You can just wave. Maybe salute it. Maybe make finger guns and whisper, “Not today, vacuum.”
Then go make a sandwich.
There’s beauty in the fact that nothing matters. Not in a sad way — in a spacious, “I can choose anything now” kind of way. You can write a story that no one reads. You can sit in the same room for three hours and do absolutely nothing of value. The Void doesn’t keep score.
You can be sincere. You can be ridiculous. You can fold towels badly and call it art. You can build a website with an AI and fill it with nonsense that makes someone you’ll never meet laugh for five seconds.
And the Void will remain indifferent.
That’s peace, if you ask me.
